One rule: take a defunct brand and bring it to 2021 in a new way.
We chose Trabant, the East-Germany automaker since we love cars and we wanted to work on something iconic and still relevant to this day.
We started by analysing the old “brand” and quickly found out that since it was a byproduct of socialism, there was no brand and the whole thing was just a factory with some people putting together a LOT of cars that were all the same.
The goal was clear: we had to make something as iconic as the old Trabant, but different. So how did we make it?
We began by writing a simple, yet inspiring, manifesto for the new Trabant, so that we could build everything with a clear vision in front of us.
Our primary color is a bright, saturated, redd-ish orange that reminds us of sunsets and sunrises.
Why?
Because Trabant is all about sharing good vibes, good music and nice places.
Since Trabant is all about bringing people together, we thought a music festival would be the best thing for the brand.
Also, who doesn’t love a good party?!
We decided to call it FOTO – From Orange To Orange – since it was designed to look according to the brand’s orange and to make it even more suggestive.
The place where all identities meet.
FOTO is not just a music festival, but a place where all kinds of artistic and cultural exhibition have the space they deserve.
Feel completely free in a natural and suggestive location. Be yourself for four days, a weekend or an hour, as long as you do it in a loop of orange shades, from sunset to sunrise, to sunset.
